The day-to-day of an association
An association lives on its members and volunteers. Those who keep the lists rarely have time to update them: a member file ages quickly, last year's subscription is soon forgotten and nobody knows exactly who is up to date on the night of a meeting or event.
A membership card in the Wallet restores order: each member has a number and a visible expiry date, and a volunteer checks their status by scanning the card.
What the card contains
- The association's name, logo and colours.
- The member number and the member's name.
- The subscription expiry date.
- A category, for example “Active member”, “Supporter” or “Reduced rate”, if you define any.
A subscription on a fixed date or a duration
Many associations run by season or calendar year: everyone renews on the same date. Others count twelve months from sign-up. Both cases can be set in KARD, and the card shows the date that applies.
KARD offers two ways to set validity: a duration from the sign-up date (for example twelve rolling months) or a fixed date for everyone (for example the end of the season). The date is shown on the card in the Wallet.
Set it up in five steps
- Choose between a fixed date and a duration, and name your member categories.
- Create the card in the association's colours.
- Display the sign-up QR code at the front desk, on your materials, or send it in your newsletter.
- Import your current members and share a “Get my card” link: everyone adds their card in seconds.
- On the day of an event, front-desk volunteers scan the cards to check status.
Volunteers who rotate
In an association it is not always the same people at the front desk. KARD lets you give each helper access, protected by a code, to check a card, renew a membership or use a session without reaching the rest of the account.
Mistakes to avoid
- Changing the renewal rule midway: decide upfront whether the date is fixed or rolling.
- Forgetting to announce the card to existing members: without a link, they wait for a physical card.
- Multiplying categories: three or four are enough to stay readable.
What KARD Membership costs
The Essentiel plan starts at €19/month: 1 structure, 2 front-desk staff, unlimited members, Apple and Google Wallet and front-desk scanning. The Club plan at €39/month adds rechargeable sessions, automatic reminders before expiry, the dashboard and analytics, up to 3 structures and unlimited staff. A quote-based plan exists for networks.
There is a 14-day free trial with no commitment: you can create your card, add it to your own phone and test a front-desk check-in before you decide. The features included depend on the plan; the detail is on the Pricing page.
